Annual assessment

Annually, the Academic Committee of the Programme will evaluate the Research Plan and the Personal Training Plan, with their possible modifications, and the Activities Document together with the reports that must be issued for this purpose by those who tutor and supervise the Doctoral Thesis.

To do this, the following procedure will be followed:

  1. The doctoral student must include all the activities carried out on the DATRES platform so that they can be reviewed by the thesis tutor.
  2. The Thesis Tutor may enter to Report the training activities at any time until the evaluation period begins.
  3. The Thesis Director must also report on the progress and development of the research activity by issuing a report on the Research Plan.
  4. The Academic Committees, in view of the reports made by the Tutor and Directors, will carry out the annual evaluation.

A positive evaluation will be an essential requirement to continue in the Program. In the event of a negative evaluation, which will be duly motivated, a new evaluation must be carried out, in an extraordinary call, within six months, for which purpose a new Research Plan will be drawn up, if required by the Academic Committee. In the event of a new negative evaluation, the Academic Committee must issue a reasoned report, after hearing the interested party, and the student will be definitively withdrawn from the Programme.

If the evaluation is negative, the communication from the Academic Committee sent to the doctoral student will specify the causes and indicate that there is a period of 5 working days, counting from the communication of the results, for students to carry out the review and, if appropriate, submit the corresponding complaint.

The Doctoral Programme Committee must resolve the complaint within a maximum period of ten working days.

If after that time the student has not received a response, or if he or she has received one and is not satisfied with it, he or she may submit a new complaint, within three working days, addressed to the Director of the Doctoral School, to the email escuela.doctorado@uah.es

In the event that you do not submit a claim within five working days, the grades will be raised to definitive.
