Students of doctoral programs regulated by Royal Decree 99/2011 can combine their doctoral studies with other different studies. To do this, they must submit an application to the Vice-rector with responsibility for doctoral studies, accompanied by the reports of the Academic Committees of Doctoral Programmes that are to be combined.

If the two reports are favourable, the Vice-rector with responsibility for doctoral studies will answer favourably. If one of the two reports is not favourable, the application will be denied.

The mode of study for these combined studies will be Part Time.

These combined studies will apply to two different doctoral programmes offered by the University of Alcalá as well as to doctoral studies from a different university.
